Well said....Mennitt's mentality rubs off on our players and their play on the field definitely reflects it. They are confident but really don't do much in the "flashy" department. They are a really scrappy bunch and had to earn every run they scored this year. I do agree that the boys from the Rowan Co. are hard nosed as well and play the game with purpose but as far as that making them better teams because of it I don't think is true. MR showed a lot of heart in a scrappy game yesterday. Carson I believe started 7 seniors and it showed as their execution as great. For us, we only started 2 seniors and though we hit the ball extremely well we just couldn't get that hit to break the game open.

Myers Park 10 Sun Valley 0 in 6

Strong outing by Grant Fisher. He threw five scoreless and gave up one flare over the first baseman's head. Matt Keeter finished the sixth. MP had baserunners all night. Sun Valley made a few errors that got things rolling for the Mustangs. Big night at the plate for third baseman Tyler Powell.

MP @ Hopewell Tuesday night. Should be a good one.

South AC game was over in a hurry. AC jumped out a to a quick 6-0 lead in first inning after a grand slam by Logan Galliher. south then went 1-2-3 the next inning and their fans were dead quiet. Ac kept pourin on the runs by adding a couple more HR's. i left before the bottom of the fifth to avoid getting caught in some nasty weather and it was 14-0 then.

does anyone happen to know a patton score??

    HOPEWELL TITANS!!!

I haven't heard much talk about Hopewell in the playoffs. In my opinion this team is truly on FIRE! Hunter May has been unhittable on the mound this year with 6 complete games and some of the best pitching stats in the state! Behind the titans pitching is the offense who has hit gold in past couple of games producing a good amount of runs. Kyle Himler, Rightfield, Keith Prowse, DH, Hunter Conley, 1b LHP, and Daniel Whitecavage, C, have been very impressive with the sticks lately. Head Coach Chet Greeson, first year at hopewell, has been in this situation before having won 2 state titles before. Hopewell is host to myers park tuesday night!!! If the titans get the W look for them to be a true threat for the state title!

... wouldn't be suprized to see these boys with a ring at the end of the year!

When did Greeson win these state championships? Were these as a head coach?

No, he was the assistant at Harding. Funny thing though, if you look at his coaching tree, he has more current coaches under his tree than Kevin Bacon has actors....including the new coach at Hough

We had a thread devoted to their 1st round game. I'm guessing the lack of recent responses to Hopewell is because their fans don't want to jinx their team- at least that's what was told to me.
