    turnabout

GT "RUN-RULES" UNC in semifinal, 8-0.
Interesting game facts: Hope Rush of GT no-hits the Heels, with zero (0) K's. Surely that's some kind of rarity?? I think it was 3 up 3 down most every inning except one inning that GT made a couple of errors.

A day after almost blanking the Pack, Danielle Spaulding gives up only 5 hits, but 3 of them are HR's.

    Jen Yee, no hits today.

....let me tell you EastPal, last night Spaulding was THE epitome of the ACC pitcher of the year.

She was killing the corners and the planes both high rises and low and away.

I watched the GT v. UNC game on the comp. today and maybe I was missing the full effect of her power as of last night, from what I saw, it was not even close. UNC can hit and Rush was on today to stop them so the game goes to GT.

    No slander.

UNC has a very talented team, and even though many of us Fishpeople, ie ABCers, LOL, might disagree in some sports, but the Pack and the Heels fans get along great, know eachother to some degree, know eachothers kids, and support eachother all while pulling for their teams without conflict. Kinda like brothers.....I like them but I want to beat them.

    Gotta give props to that!

    Go ACC

    SEC championship on espn

those SEC gals are playing in a barnburner.............Bama was up 4-0 and coasting til LSU rallies & grabs the MO with Bama's ace pitcher ailing a bit with a finger blister on her throwing hand. Then Bama slams a HR to gain back a 1 run lead. they're in 6th inning.

....almost blanking the Pack? I'd say 1 hit, even though a HR is a blanking. Not for nothing but Spaulding lost her perfect game around the 4th by hitting the 9th batter in the Pack line up.

Hey East, I know this off the thread but give us some HS East info brother, who's hot and who's not?

    Thanks

    ok

fish, I respect that you guys in the softball circuits watch your kids and many others play together growing up in the youth leagues & TB weekends then go off to their different college play and maintain that mutual respect; that's great. But as for me without that comraderie, I'll remain an ABC'er til the death and darn proud of it. Anything else just don't feel right.

as for HS softball in the east, don't know much. Harnett Central joined the local 4a conf. from the 3A's , and they still win the regular season titlle over Garner & WJ.
WJ very young with 1 senior but is 18-5, even w/ pitcher Lexi Betancourt out most of season with back injury.
as always sounds like the western teams are favored.

    tough call

it's a tough call. The wolfpack club director, a lifetime wolfpacker, has done a great job there and makes it well known he wants the job. Keeping the Pack family in charge has not always paid off in wins (Amato, Lowe so far, some others un-named). I would truly do a national search and then choose the BEST regardless.

what do you say State needs to start getting back in the ACC championship picture?
