The 2nd Annual Battle of the Border Skills Showcase Camp on June 14th at Belmont Abbey is over halfway full. We would like to extend an invitation to all 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010 NC/SC/VA/TN/GA area baseball players to attend the Skills Camp next month. Many dozens of college coaches and professional scouts have indicated they plan to be in attendance at this talent packed event. What colleges?

Is there a list of colleges that will be in attendance for this event?

 

there is not a list (yet) of colleges committed to being there. Mainly due to the fact that the D1 schools are still playing. All of them are assuming that they will still be playing in June, as they should. There have been invites put out to:
Belmont Abbey, Appalachian State, Clemson, Wingate, Wake Forest, UNCC, Erskine, Liberty, Furman, NC State, Davidson, Winthrop, Virginia Tech, Gardner-Webb, Elon, Francis Marion, USC Sumter, Pfeiffer and more.

 

I will add that at last years game for sophomores and juniors we had 36 college coaches and pro scouts to check in with us... that was in year one of the event. We believe we are developing a pretty strong name for the event in just a short time and when that happens, coaches want to come see the talent. We will release the complete rosters by June 1,,, but I will say in my opinion in just one year, the overall talent level has probably doubled....

One of my original goals in starting The Battle of the Border was to provide a local place where local talent could go to for exposure. Rest assured, we will have a pretty good turnout on coaches for the event... Working hard on it every day and night with some other well established baseball folks

 

Have rosters been set for the battle of the borders allstar games? If so where can it be found?

 

They are still being filled. There are just a few spots left to fill so if anyone has player recommendations get them in asap!!

 

We had a couple of spots open up here at the end due to injuries, college orientation and family graduation trips.

We are now filling those spots and looking for the best of the best for the college coaches to watch play... We are also opening the borders up on the rosters to insure we bring in D1 talent for the college coaches,,,,

When will the rosters be available for viewing?

 

Game rosters June 2nd, maybe June 1,,, trying to fill last 1 or 2 pitcher spots after a couple of kids had to pull out.

The actual talent showcase on MOnday morning is about 75% full right now,,, Whole lotta talent in both games and talent workout.
