....but I think this is cool and would like to point it out.

Friday night, 8:00, ESPN or ESPN2, Jacksonville State plays Ga. Tech in the first round of the NCAA tourney.

2 things that make this thread listed in the preps, HS/TB section of TBR are this.....

    1. Nikki Prier is from Wake Forest Rolesville HS, NC and this year was named to the top 50 D1 players to watch for the honor of POY.

    2. GT has probably the best overall player in the game today period, Jenn Yee and the rest of the GT team rocks big time.

I hope lots of our NC stars and future "next level" folks will watch, support Nikki, and have a fire under them to one day play on ESPN as well!

    me, too!

Good luck to Nikki and thanks to Chuck for giving my DD her first ever catching lesson back when she played at WFRMS. My DD still has that copy of Nikki's recruiting CD that Chuck gave her. You won't meet any finer people!!!

    Strange Geography

It just seems weird to me that Oklahoma would travel to Maryland to play in a regional, but NC would go to Seattle??? How does that make sense?:rolleyes4:

    Selection Committee

Oklahoma a top 16 seed did not submit request to host a regional! Why Maryland?

UNC not being a top 16 seed was randomly placed by the selection committee as a #2 seed in Seattle.

espn (probably espnu or espn3 (360) ) will likely show the championship game - possibly tape delayed.

i really wish they would show the LR-North Georgia series. 1-2 ranked regionally and 1-8 ranked nationally with NG undefeated and LR has the most wins of anyone in the tournament.

    GO BEARS!!!!!!
