    Fike - 0

    Wow.....the 1-0 score was probably the way it should have been. Congrats to Hunt! They OWN Wilson!!!!!

    Just heard from Stretchy and he reported that it was a game just as intense as the Hunt/Fike match-up and that Rose goes to New Hanover and rolls back to G-Vegas with the 6 to 5 win and a spot in the 4th round.

    Rose and New Hanover was back and forth the whole game. New Hanover led 5-4 going into the top of the 7th.

    McDonald walked to lead off the inning, Warren Harvey singled, junior Charlie Herring doubled off center field wall scoring McDonald. 5-5.

    New Hanover then walked a rampant pinch hitter, Tyler Clifton loading the bases. Junior Wallace Benfield sac fly to CF scored Harvey for the winning run.

    Pitcher Tommy Houmard got the Wildcats 1, 2, 3 hitters out in order in the 7th.

    Houmard picked up the win in relief.

    Jordan Betts hit a 3 run home run in the 3rd for New Hanover.

    Rose v. Laney Tuesday at 7 in Greenville.

    What a nite in Wilmington

    Two tough teams battling it out till the last out. Great game shame someone had to lose. Good night Luis...I made it back!!!
