was told moss said "that call was crap" not in the face of the ump but facing the dugout. that was after the foul call down third base. the entire dugout, coaches, and fans were going crazy how he picked moss is unreal.

knowing the system shouldn't run into playoffs, maybe regular season conf games. during playoffs if conf A is playing conf C why don't they bring in umps from say conf D, money, travel expenses, what??

Cuthbertson over Randleman 10 - 8 to move to 3rd Round

1st year Cuthbertson wins 10 - 8 in a barn burner against a good Randleman team. The Cavs broke it open in the second by plating 5 runs off 5 hits. Sophmore John Mangum started it with a homerun over left field. CHS scored again in the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th.
Randleman came back with 1 in the 2nd with a BB RBI. Randleman added 2 more in the 3rd with 2 solo HR's by Richardson and Vicker. In the 5th, Trogdan(?) added another HR of his own. In the 6th, Randleman scored 3. Peter Hendel was brought in during the 6th and threw 2 no-hit, no run innings for the Cavs and got the save.

    Pitchers -
    Cuthbertson
    WP - Cameron Tekker (8 - 0) - 2.1 innings, 4K's, 2 BB, 4 Hits, and 3R
    Preston Morrison - 2.2 innings, 3 K's, 2 BB, 6 hits, 5R
    SV - Peter Hendel - 2 innings, 4K's, 1 BB, 0 hits, 0 R

Randleman - Honestly, I really am not sure. LP was taken out in the 2nd inning. Randleman went through 3 pitchers like Cuthbertson.

    Hitters -
Cuthbertson - Tekker (3 - 4), Mangum (2 - 4, HR), JD Long (2 - 3, Dbl). In all, CHS had 14 hits. Some well played sac bunts and sac flys added to the total.

    Randleman - Parnell ( 2 - 4, Dbl), Richardson (1 - 2, HR), Vicker (1 - 4, HR), Trogdan (2 - 3 , HR). Randleman had 10 hits.

Tonight Cuthbertson plays Piedmont at home for a chance to move into the quarterfinals. Game should start at around 5 PM. The top half of the Western 2A playoffs is turning into the Rocky River Conference District Tournament, again. For Cuthbertson, it's all about family...their family!

Wow what a game!!! NWC 2B Corey Seager drove in 3 runs, including a 2 run homer and the game winning double with 2 out and runners at 1st and 2nd. Both starting pitchers in this one were outstanding, Daniel Stewart of CC and Rob Bain of NWC. The game was played in the rain, which made it tough for defenders on both sides, but this game was filled with great plays. Both teams OF's made some unbelievable plays that should be on "Sportscenter".
NWC took the lead in the 1st after Will Miller reached on a "E-6" and C. Seager hits a bomb the other way over the LF fence. CC lefty Stewart then composed himself to get out of the inning. NWC lefty Bain was in control early, but after an "E-5" put a runner on, CC scored to cut it to 2-1. NWC used small ball to score a run and take a 3-1 lead into the top of the 6th. Bain recorded 2 outs, then gave up a double followed by a 2 Run homer to even it at 3. The bottom of the 6th saw NWC DH Michael Hagwood lead off with a double and once again used a sac. bunt to advance him to 3rd and then a Sac. fly to take a 4-3 lead into the 7th. CC leadoff reached on an "E-6" and then loaded the bases with 2 singles, with no outs. This is where CC lost this one... after a single to shallow center, they tie the score at 4 but get "gready" and send the runner from 2B also and he's out at the plate, the runner who had advanced to third slips after taking a huge turn and he is out also. So instead of bases loaded with no outs in a tie game, its a runner on 1B with 2 outs, then Bain gets a ground out to 2B to go to the bottom of 7 tied at 4. With runners on 1st and 2nd base with 2 outs, Seager drives a double into the gap in RC to score the winner (just a note 2 probably score on the hit.) Great effort on both sides, well done!!!:clapclap:

A great game. Large crowd. Nail biter with plenty of drama and excellent pitching. The Hunt run came in the bottom of the 6 on a rbi single scoring the runner that was on 2nd with a play at the plate but then Fike had runners on 1st and 2nd in the Top of the 7th when the last hitter fouled out to the catcher.

    An intense game.
