Got a question for the smarter folks. Do the games played in conference playoffs count as conference games? Just asking because I keep hearing of a team (no need to use names, not slinging snot as fishpal would say, just curious) that has a great conference winning streak but they lost in the conference tournament last year. Doesn't that snap the conference win streak (I haven't heard it referred to as a regular season conference winning streak)?

I'm thinking only regular season games would count because that is what you turn in to the NCHSAA for a record come playoff time.

...nice post JavCat. Personally my take would be that No stats team wise or individual wise would be included.

In the MLB, no HRs etc. count for total career stats for players or teams.

    level playing field?

no dog in the hunt.....question.....say that kid "A" has 14 HRs and does not make the playoffs, and kid "B" has 11 HRs but her team makes the playoffs and then she hits 3 more over the next 5 games and passes kid "A". You're gonna count the stats from extra games and diss kid "A"?

It doesn't suprise me, but its BS and ya'll know it.

i'm pretty sure we had this discussion some years back with Rick Strunk from NCHSAA. at that time, all stats were figured on regular season games (max 22 games with endowment game or something close to that). if not, Crystal Cox would of had a heck of a lot more k's......

    What If ??

Team A has 15 scheduled games in regular season and Team B has 11 scheduled games in regular season is it any fairer ?? I'm not saying its fair but that's life. It's just like some teams will never get to the playoffs because they don't have the pull of players like some unmentioned teams. These teams that have the players to pull from will always be in Raleigh even 10 years from now we will hear about the same teams over and over again, but that is good for them bad for the kids that don't have any chance..

....not quite sure why teams would have less scheduled regular season games, I can see maybe rainouts making up less total games, but I've gotta beleive that most if not all teams schedule to the max allowed.
