State Finals

    Can someone confirm the location for the HS state finals this year. Heard so many different stories and would like to know. Thanks.

    Finals

    All Championships will be played at NCSU or the Mudcat Stadium in Zebulon. NCHSAA will release Tuesday who will play where and when.

    Another controversial decision made by the NCHSAA. They don't make things easy for themselves. You can count on one thing though...it will be near Raleigh.

    They like to hold them on a university campus, but the problem with that is they have to wait and see the playoff picture for that school. Both UNC and State may be in the playoffs, so Zebulon may be the choice.

    If they wanted to they could rotate the games at minor league parks each year without having to wait for the college campus for availability.

    The 4 classes play at both locations.....2 at Mudcat stadium and 2 at NC State

    IMO they wait to see who is the closest of the teams left to determine the locations....and I guess it is determined by the West teams since they are the teams that have to travel the most distance.

    Does the NCHSAA even know there is a whole big ole state of NC folk who do not live in the Raleigh area?

    They need to get out more.

    Rule 9-9-64
    Championship Locations

    All state championship game locations shall be within 1 hour of Karlrocket's home.:deal:

    They did play once at Greensboro Grasshoppers Stadium when Alex White was playing. I rememeber covering that game.

    The NCHSAA reminds me of NASCAR :checkeredflag: , they make up the rules as they go along!? Let's just move all the games to Atlanta, Ga so every team can drive 3 or 4 hrs for a game.:muetze:
