I nominate "Hammerdog" as commisioner of NCHSAA!!! :PubDrink:

At least hold the 3 games at a neutral site, looking at the 3A West, its pretty much "Piedmont" area schools in the top bracket and "Mountain" area in the bottom bracket. How about a Friday game and a Sat. doubleheader at "Crawdads" stadium or even Catawba College. At least the Tuscola kids could have saved some travel time by avoiding that Thursday game, which was the dumbest idea I've ever heard of. Most people don't want to attend playoff games at High Schools because the stadiums can't hold a large amount of spectators. Imagine the funds generated by playing at a larger venue, besides these kids deserve to play on a college or pro level field...schools that make it this far should be rewarded!

    Tough loss for Tuscola

Tuscola was leading ER 5-4 going into 7th inning, and ER gets 2 walks and Tus makes 2 errors for ER to score 4 runs to take an 8-5 lead. ER got all 4 runs in 7th inning without getting a hit.

karlrocket, I said all year that ER would be there in the end. They don't have flashy players, no superstars, no big homerun hitters, in fact their ace pitcher has only thrown 30 pitches in 6 playoff games (resting him due to injury),,,, but ER is so deep on the mound, their batters give you quality at bats moving runners, and they play some of the best defense I've seen in years.

Congrats to Tuscola on a fine year,,,, but now ER (wins series 2-0) and moves on to state championship series. Games to be played next week in karlrockets' backyard... :13:

Btw, great crowd at ER today, somebody won over $500 in halfnhalf drawing. I came close, my numbers were only about 200,000 numbers off...

    Great run

Chapel Hill. And on the bright side at least the young man that threw a complete game yesterday and was brought in to pitch 3 innings today can get some much needed rest.

And we want to go to 2-3 in every round? Anyone want to help pick up the arms left on the field if this happens?
