    Wahine is the Hawaiian word for women. Can also mean Polynesian goddess or female surfer.

    ...are the Rainbow Warriors. I guys they didn't want to call the girls Warriors so they came up with Wahine???

    And I agree with daddydober, believe it stands for a homerun hittin machine!
