    Eastern Randolph beat Central Davidson 2-1. Solo homerun to go ahead.
    North Davidson wins 1st state title 7-2 over TC Roberson.

    Just got home.$5.00 to park,$10.00 to get in.Ok umpiring but the fields were a disgrace!Absolutely pathetic,the NCHSAA should be embarrassed to hold a state championship on those wavy,uneven unlevel cow pastures.It's time for Raleigh to fix those fields or time for the NCHSAA to move to a complex with descent fields.

    We have this discussion every year. The state playoffs are like a bad NSA tournament. People defend it because "the creek" is a tradition. The tradition is terrible traffic, no parking, lousy fields, terrible concessions . . . Even the lights are bad. I can't wait till next year!

    Forget the "complex". Come up with a new format that allows the final games to be played in the great college stadiums around the state. I know 'everyone can't be in the same place' but you've got all summer for that. Very few of these girls will ever play in a D1 stadium (yes, I know SWR and ND played a game in chapel hill). Give them the chance!

    The fields were hard as parking lots... Surprised I didn't see any of the slappers try to pound it in the ground for the high bounce
