High Point Post 87 - 8 10 innings

Good ball game at Finch Field today saw High Point take their first Area III North loss. Connor Scarbrough got the start and was shaky in the first two innings giving up four runs but he settled down after that keep Post 63 scorless the next four innings. Meanwhile High Point took a 7-4 lead on the strong hitting of Desean Anderson, Kevin Sanders and Mike Whited.

Anderson was 4-5 today. HR, 2 doubles, RBI and 3 runs. Whited and Sanders both had multi hit games. Burlington rallyed after Scarbrough left scoring one in the seventh, one in the eighth and took the lead in the ninth, 8-7. With two outs in the ninth Cam Hendrix tied it up with a solo shot to send it to extra innings. But Burlington wasted no time as #27 hit a solo shot in the tenth for the win.

High Point is now 7-3, 6-1 in the North Region. Burlington showed they plan to make it a three team race with High Point and West Forsyth. I knew Burlington would be good, now they'll add a couple Graham players and get even better.
