Cherryville Post 100 info

I am starting this thread to share info about Post 100, mostly because I didn't like using a thread named "Cherryville Slipping?"

If you are interested in listening to games, Cherryville games are often carried on WLON 1050-am and WCSL 1590-am. The website to access either of the stations is at www.hrnb.com. Then just go thru the "listen live" feature.

Cherryville had 1 HR. Solo, bottom 6th, Dylan Hastings.

With 2 outs, Post 100 got a line drive down the 1st base line into the RF corner from Stephen Huss to push across the winning run . This was after Post 100 had tied the game with 2 doubles earlier in the inning from Tripper Crisson and Travis Blake.

Cherryville Post 100 improves their record to 5-2 overall. Also, they have the Head Coach back now that his HS team is finished w/the state playoffs. They (E. Rutherford) won 2 games to 0 against Graham.

These teams play again on Sun 6-6-10 in Gaffney, SC.

Gaffney Post 109 defeats Cherryville Post 100 by a score of 12-11.

I wasn't @ the game, so this is second hand.
Cherryville was leading 11-6 going into the bottom of the 9th. Gaffney got the 6 runs they need to get the come from behind win.

Post 100's record is now 5-3 overall, and 1-1 in the division.

Cherryville got off to a good start with 2 in the 1st, but left 7 runners on base during the first 3 innings. While the Post 100 pitching couldn't go with the lead, it sounded like the Hickory pitcher Jeremy Null just got better and better to lead Post 48.

Sounds good to me. I'm hoping to get back up there soon. I've only been to one game so far this year. SUMO, were you at the Henderson County game? If so, I may have sat a couple rows up behind you.

 

Sure was pal. Me and my little girl came out to watch the game. I done a lot more child watching that game watching but when she asked if she could go I could not say no. The squad has got to get hot to keep pace in Area IV
