Cary HS Coaching Carousel

Cary High School is looking for a new coach. When the new coach is found and assumes position, he will be the 7th head coach since 2000 at the school.

The latest head coach resigned due to serious family health issues. Can't blame a guy for that, but it just hurts to see that program take another hit at the top just as soon as things seemed to be turning around.

 

True...it's tough on the kids. The one constant has been the assistant coach, Jere Morton. He is one I wouldn't want to lose.

 

I'm sad that Coach Matt Warden has moved on after one season, but it is completely understandable. From my perspective he did a superb job at Cary and my son enjoyed playing for him. I wish him well as he moves back home to be near his family.

TBR's own JM15 has been the glue that has held the program together the last couple of years. I hope he stays involved because his passion for Cary baseball is unmatched and his devotion to the players is amazing.

 

Where do I submit JM15 as a candiate? The guys just loves Cary baseball and most importantly, he cares about and loves the kids who play Cary baseball.

 

The problem is that to be a head coach in Wake County (maybe NC ?) you have to be a teacher and JM15 doesn't have the degrees required to get a teaching job in Wake Co.

i would like for everyone more than anything to keep coach warden's father in your prayers. coach's family is going through a very tough time right now.

is the head softball coach at Garner HS a teacher?

 

no. there are several wake county hs coaches who aren't teachers nor employees by the wcpss.

 

What about the JV Baseball coach they had this year or last year?

 

Tough question, and I coach at the high school.

As of right now, I would have to believe that CHS is looking for two new coaches.
