We made the mistake and went and played in Marion this weekend. They had the girls playing on 250' fences, one of the fields had a baseball mound that the girls had to pitch from with a 350' fence. The umpires that where there did not have a clue as to what was going on it was one bad call after another. If that tournament was suppose to be a State tournament I would really hate to see would goes on at a normal tournament. There is alot of Homecooking going on up there. Needless to say our team will not be going back up there to play. We will take our money esle where. WFC you guys really need to take a look at your program.

We have never played up the with the WFC but I will say this. Have been up there a bunch of times with the WNCasa. Those have all been really good tournaments. The girls always had a good time. I know they have several tournament schedualed in Marion and Old Fort. give them a try, sounds like they are much better run than the WFC

Yep, we loved it. Even though we lost our girls played their hearts out, playing better each game.

Success doesn't always come in wins and losses. Anytime you can play against excellent talent and spray a few balls in the grass, that is a good weekend. All those little things add up to big things.

Im glad you drew that distinction for everyone. The WNC ASA tournaments that are usually in Marion are actually good tournaments. Mostly they play theirs at Mapleleaf, which is at least the right dimensions. Jamie and Shelly Brown always have good food too.

After playing with WFC several times this season, I am done with them. My problem with WFC is at the top!

I agree. We have played the ASAs up there with Jamie and Shelly a lot. I've never had a complaint with they way they run things. Plus 5GG for $150 you can't beat it.

5 games for $150? That's only $30 per game! What do they have? Volunteer umps?

    Or High gate?

Or is this a 10U only fee at a tournament with multiple age groups?

I think their gate fee is 4 or 5 dollars. In past years they did several tournaments with a 4 gg for $100. These are real bargins for those who just want to come play competetive softball and have fun. The umps in the past have done as good as anywhere I've been. The food is very good and the directors are super friendly and have always went out of their way to accomodate the teams needs as much as possible. The only negative is no 200' fences but they do paint a line at 200 to 220 which works out fine. I try to schedual as many tournaments with them as possible. to me it is a really good deal. Oh yea 8u is only $125
