    Great opening day

    I am down here today and tomorrow watching some of the NC teams play...I saw the following:

    North Canes defeat Mid Atlantic Mustangs 3-1
    Dirtbags shutout World of Baseball 4-0 (Benton went 4 innings but Dylan Dickens got the win in relief)
    CBC Navy got beat by NY Gothams 6-2 in the 7 pm game

    I will be writing a story on the above games as I was allowed to sit in the dugout for these games.

    In the Heat victory today Jason Harris texted me that Dylan Norris tossed a no hitter.

    Scott Bankhead of the Golden Spikes team had an interesting game he told they scored 5 runs then gave up 5 runs and then scored another 5 runs to win the game. Sounded like lots of offensive action.

    Talked with Schaef while he was scouting the ABD Bulldogs game (Steve Garvey and Davy Lopes son's play on this team) and he told me that the CBC Army played a solid game in the 5-2 victory in the 11:30 am game. Ran into Mike Leonard of the Cubs and he told me that in the loss both teams actually threw no hitters against each other. WOW.

    Tomorrow I plan to sit in the dugout with these teams SC Panthers, South Canes and Carolina Cubs.

    The number of college coaches and pro scouts is unbelievable what a great event for the kids to show what they can do on the field.

    For those that have never been it is quite an experience. Hey Stretchy, look for Coach Osborne while you're down there and ask him for a shirt he owes you, but tell him to make it a Georgia shirt.
