No matter how this turns out, it's a great accomplishment to have both teams in the championship game representing our state. Congratualtions to Ricky Keith and his staff.

...and for Jeff Petty and the Canes to have an opportunity to repeat as champions...amazing stuff and very impressive!

Great job to the Canes and the Cubs!!!!

Congratulations to both the Canes and the Cubs! Stretchy, just out of curiosity, is there any truth to the rumor that the Cubs went to Georgia without five of their normal starters? If this is true, then wow! They are missing over half of their starting line-up and still make it to the championship game!

    Very Interesting

Got to be a total rumor....even though the last rumor I heard about Luis stalking Erin Andrews turned out to obviously be true as per the police reports on TMZ

    carolina cubs blue

cubs blue did go down without 4 players, moved up one from the 15u team and moved down one from the 17u team who is a 2012. The whole team had a great showing top to bottom, every player when asked to perfrom did so. This team played as one unit throughout the tournament picking each other up and pulling for each other. My son was down after the game but soon realized what a great experience he had just gone through with a great bunch of teammates and outstanding leadership from the coaching staff.

It will be an experience he will always remember.

I'd like to congratulate Jeff Petty and Doug Collins for a terrific showing. To make it to the finals is an amazing feat, but to actually win it two years in a row..well, I salute the coaches and the players in the Canes' organization. That's amazin'!!!!!!

llabesab- thank you for the clarification. Nevertheless, congrats to those kids who played together and did what was needed to get the Cubs in the Championship game. That, itself, says a lot! Congrats to Coach Petty and the Canes for a repeat and congrats to Coach Tharrington for giving the Cubs the chance to win it!
