The zealots will soon be talking trash and complaining about referees. I know because I like to help them.

Tell me wise one is there anything better than high school football in t-ville on a cool fall night...what else is there to do in t-ville in the fall...home or away we could argue that we have the most loyal fans and we travel as good or better than most...

Alexander Central has made great strides in the last decade with their stadium, field house, press box, and overall atmosphere. Taylorsville is like most every other small town, football is a big deal. It helps when you win of course and of late the Cougars have been anywhere from good (last year) to at least competitive. I'm not too crazy about the motorcycles leading the team out of the field house but most seem to like it so, so much for that. Cougar fans do travel with the team very well. Several times last year Alexander Central had more fans at a road game than the home team.

things should begin to get cranked up in a few weeks. even some of the other boards are lagging a little right now. lets just call it the calm before the storm.

be sure to participate in our TBR Preps Pick'em contest this year.

    welcome to the board!

I agree wise one, AC has made some great strides in the last several years and I hope they continue to do so...and as long as they stay competitive, the fans will be there....I also dont care for the motorcycle intro!....I miss the "good old days" of running through the banner, with the cheerleaders leading the way!....looking forward to seeing Watauga's new stadium as well....Good luck to the Cougars!:8:

Sounds a lot like my senior year in the fall of 04 when we traveled to Waddell for 2nd round of playoffs. The stands on our side were packed out and the home side was borderline pathetic. We could hardly hear the band playing the national anthem from the field house behind the endzone. My dad said the people in concessions were just amazed. Our band outnumbered their band & fans. The motorcycles started when I was there & I think it went alot better when we came out from the school down the steps from the school, but either way it gets the players fired up. I know every time I hear them, I remember coming down the steps and getting between the harleys and just getting chills all over from it. Gotta love that football season is here and it's time to snap it up.

I will say Alexander Central has had great fan support over the last few years. They filled the visitors stands when they came to Patton last year. AC should be pretty good this year. Looking forward the seeing this years match-up in Taylorsville.
