White Magic go 3-2 in Rising Stars

The White Magic played the Rising Stars in Ft. Lauderdale this weekend. They went 3-2 with one loss to the Gainesville Gold which is a very impressive team. Great tournament! Great teams and coaches everywhere from some of the biggest schools in the country.

 

.....props to ya'll for sure. Winning is not everything in these high level showcase events but it certainly says that your kids are playing up with or above the competition.

Whenever you get a chance, keep us posted with the goings on down there and coaches attending etc.

Girls should have been four and one. The first game they seemed to have jet lag. My daughter is still stoked about the trip. She had a tough weekend hitting everything right at someone. She still says it is the best tournament she has ever been to. I hope Jeff can work out some more like this one. Coaches included Alabama, Mississippi State, Auburn and Florida. Some smaller D1s and others. Coach from UNCP was there watching alot teams. If she gets a little better facilites she is doing some work to get players. I know she is from that area.

 

How many?

Don't mean to hijack the thread. Congrats to the ladies for sure - keep it up!

How many Rising Stars tournaments are there in South Florida each year? Our team goes every year to the one they have in October'ish. We see a lot of the same coaches listed above and many more. The girls love it, we have a great time and play against some very good teams.

 

My dd played in the fall gig and it was awesome.

the parents had a ball for halloween in fort lauderdale...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.........we had a parking pass downtown, a cameraman and a designated driver.

Real deal was that our team was not going to fla. so LW and TA were picked up by a team from NJ to play. Meanwhile CD needed a player too, so our DDs got to play alot!

CDs teams have been there enough that he was given a 1st class field placement for games.

The NJ team was awesome, they took us to a REAL Cuban rest. and we ate bigtime!!!!

I highly reccommend to everyone to try to play in the Rising Stars.

Again, if your team is not participating, then contact the tourney officials and get on the list of "kids who want to play".

My DD did the same thing, only with a team from Delaware. Made some new friends.
