    9:30am: Rocky Mount vs Rutherford County
    12:30pm: Cherryville vs Cary

    4:30pm: Kernersville vs Whiteville
    7:30pm: Wilmington vs Randolph County

    real dirt or artificial?

    The new field turf infield at McCrary Park...........I saw the pics. Is the "brown" of the infield also field turf??

    Only dirt on the infield is the mound. Outfield is natural Bermuda grass and like a carpet. Excellent facility all the way around!

    Rutherford vs. Rocky Mount

    Did not hear the game, but the Cherryville radio guys said that Rutherford Co. defeated Rocky Mount in the 1st game of the tourney. I think the score was 10-8. They said that one thing of note was that there were 10 batters "hit by pitch" during the game.

    Rocky Mount left 17 runners on base. Ouch! That's unusual for those guys.
