Don't know how Churavill's pitching is doing, considering they just wrapped up Area 4 just 2 nights ago,,, but I'll say it now that Post 100 is my tournament favorite simply because of coaching. Bobby DAY-elle just knows how to manage his pitching in a tournament, bottomline. Don't believe it, refer to BDR's long list of titles.

Benfield looked really good shutting down Rutherford last night when he made a relief appearance. He was the starter on Monday when Rutherford did all that damage, so I was happy for him to see the way he came back.

Reynolds is doing fine, coming off of the surgery, now that he has his stamina back.

Parks probably pitched as well during his last two starts as he has pitched since the comeback. (according to guys that know something about these things)

The most effective in relief lately have been Trey Drewery and Blake Mosteller.

Remember, I am only a fan, not a coach (at any level).

    Quick prediction...

Cary pulls the first upset of the tournament and wins 8-2.

BDR will rebound and make some noise though the rest of the weekend and week.

Starting Pitchers were Blair Betts for Cary (NO, not the Blair Betts that plays pro hockey) and Cory Parks for Cherryville.

I was not able to listen to very much of the game, but the final score was Cary 2 - Cherryville 1.

Winner plays on Sunday night, Loser plays in the "max heat" of Sunday afternoon.

Sounds like a great game. I am not able to be there but I was getting text updates all throughout. Cary escaped literally behind some clutch pitching and defense. Congrats to them Cary boys on the "upset"!!

You're right from what I heard. I was told that Cherryville had the bases loaded in the 8th, & 9th.

Also, I heard over and over about how good the catcher for Cary was in this game.
