Develop your kids to be pitchers...no bats needed. By the way, many interesting topics have been brought up in this thread. Might want to start a new thread, so Baylee can sell this glove. But Kato was the man!

    Ring

I had the ring --- ha ha...did you??? Kato was the man --- could kick Robin's tail on his worst day...but Chuck Conners as the Rifleman was the baddest dude around in the B&W days!

I think I have a buyer for the glove....BTW, best prices I've seen online for this glove range from 299.99 to 319.99.

It is not a profit center for me --- just thought someone might like a deal on a helluva glove. It is a great glove - and yes, all equipment is too expensive. I started school when I was a kid with one pair of black "track shoes" with the thinnest sole you've ever seen --- had to make 'em last a full school year...then along came addidas. Long live the "Rom":lach:

    Bad Scene for Women

Poor Lucas --- all he needed was a mommy...

Did you ever notice how women never fared well on Bonanza, the Rifleman or the Virginian.

BUT, the Big Valley....now those were some women!

Only on TBR can a thread turn from a baseball glove to Superheroes! But don't forget this guy. "Save the planet, GO GREEN"!!!!

(BTW, Congrats on selling your glove)

I remember showing up for Little League tryouts with $10 for registering, a glove and cleats, everything else was furnished. Our coach had a bottomless duffle bag filled with everything a team could ever need. I also remember him hitting infield with a cigarette hanging from his mouth and somehow the ashes never fell. Talk about keeping your head still during your swing!

    keeps getting better...

I think I played for that guy. Drove a gold duece-n-a-quarter, black horned rim glasses and stuttered. You should have seen him argue with umpires...hilarious. kinda looked like this guy... :9:

Do you remember running bases with either nothing on your head or a little piece of something that looked like plastic ear muffs? My first pair of spikes were the most uncomfortable things I've ever worn! leather soles and all!

I remember about half the team decided to try "Red Man" chewing tobacco during a game and we turned "green" and were all puking behind the dugout. All of the sudden we hear coach say..."Marty you're up" and we all say "No coach Marty is down", that was followed by coach cursing Marty and everyone associated with Marty's family! Bad thing was.... Marty was coaches son...ouch!!! :31:

    Bottomless Duffle bag

I do remember the equipment bag. When I was coaching Babe Ruth years ago, I had one of those. It had about 6-8 batting helmets, 4-5 bats, 12 balls, and various pieces of catching equipment. The bag was full of dirt, sand, and spiders. I'd dump it out on the ground and we'd go to practicing. Players would throw those dirty helmets on their heads and nobody cared a bit. Those were the days.:cheers2:

Hey BayLee, glad you decided to sell a glove, this may have been the best read on TBR in days.

    Man I loved the Rifleman.
