Question about joining show Case team

Slinging snot?....just suggesting another path. As I said every girl is different and every girl's situation is different. The showcase organization route is not right for every girl. BTW, from the pm's I've been receiving there are plenty of others who agree so be careful before you speak for others. However I do admire the fact that you ain't scared. Believe it or not I have something else you might think about. Seems like if you do well playing for a showcase team a coach would be that much more impressed to see you play well against a showcase team. So just maybe it is not so much who you play for but who you play against.

 

Ummm...don't you normally have to play FOR a showcase team to play AGAINST a showcase team. Don't see too many "showcase" teams playing....umm...the Northside Lawn Mowers???

And by all means, all of you who agree w/ Tater stand up and be counted. Suggest improvements, don't hide behind a TBR name and criticize others. Ric and ASA are always looking for ways to improve...so is the NCSCA, so is NSA, ummmm..so is TBR. Be a positive influence, not negative.

Everybodies recruiting path is different. Hell, i had two different paths in the same household at the same time. You think my kids held it against each other or other kids. They BETTER not had. There is enough softball to go around for everybody to be happy.

Oh, and by the way, how about we give some "unknown" kids some props. Give us some kids who didn't play showcase ball and got recruited, if they didn't play showcase, i'm sure it's not posted on here. List them, give them the credit THEY are due!!

 

Ummmm, no you don't. Do you honestly think that some of the teams mentioned play against showcase teams every game? That is foolish. Do you think every team that goes to the Cardinal Classic are showcase teams? Go back and look and see who these "showcase organizations" have played. While you are at it tell me if they have won every game playing against a non showcase team. The Curve took a 15 year old pitcher to Raleigh and whipped some of these very same "showcase organizations" some that already have college players I might add. That is awesome. And I'm not saying the Curve is a non showcase team but I don't think they go to Colorado and such, but again their pitcher is just 15! Just one example dude. As for mentioning girls names, I do know two personally but unfortunately they are not interested in being promoted on this board. I can certainly understand where one of them is coming from and I respect that.

 

Wow...considering all the college coaches that read this board, it's amazing to me someone not wanting their name mentioned. Never knew any kid was ever slammed on this board....ever. maybe someone has and I never knew it, but something like that usually would be brought to my attention.

 

To say that this individual is still a little upset would be putting it mildly so I ain't touching it with a 10 foot pole.

 

....OK, its apparent that the use of the words "slingin snot" didn't sit well with my friend so I'll put it this way..........You have some very good points that TBR can benefit from, but when me or you post things that make other TBRs take personal, then the message is lost and that does nobody any good.

I call it "slingin snot"......you know flinging one off the end of your finger that has no use.

I'm not gonna be a hater to ya bro, but I'll tell you like I see it.

Now lets move forward in the best interest of the kids.......and hold our breath awhile until the next discussion comes along on TBR about showcase v. TB v. traveling to Col/Fla....lol
