This to me is no longer showcase baseball. Its about whats on the front of the shirt for most org.I remember when it first started that no score was kept it was about getting the kids in front of the college coaches.I dont think you have many players out there that care about who won what tournament. They are out there trying to get that scholarship so they might live a dream. If I was a player I would be looking to see what org. is putting guys in school not who is winning tournaments.I would bet you I can take 3 pitchers who throw 88 and I can put scouts in the stands and never win a game.

I disagree somewhat because the teams that are winning a ton do put the most kids in schools. But I agree that some players that need to be seen dont necessarily play for one of the 'winning' teams

How about the kids who have already committed to a school and they are going 6+ innings on Saturday...Mmm...Showcase ??...It'll get worked out.

.....or the same kid pitching for his hometown Legion team throwing 9 innings and 157 pitches. Obviously many kids already committed stay on to play with their teammates because they like them and the competition.

Showcase has already evolved in stages from where it was to now. I have no idea where it will go next, but unless the NCAA changes the rules of college scouts and their recruiting, showcase baseball is here to stay.

I have so many opinions about it pro and con, but the bottom line is if you don't have something to showcase, you don't need to be out there.
