NSA Showcase (Morganton) 18u

Foothills Heat + Foothills Heat (White) battled today all the way to the Championship game where both teams decided to go with Co-Championship instead of risking injuries. It was a very hot and humid day in Morganton. Good luck to all the players there this weekend heading off to College.

Talented group of young ladies you have there coach. My dd's team played your girls Saturday and I was impressed with your girls. They should make for a strong team in the future.

 

I didn't see but 2 or 3 colleges coaches there but I could be wrong.

R U KIDDING? I'm sorry but it wasn't that hot. What kind of lesson are we sending when we let our youth quit when the going gets tough. If your not gonna finish don't start. Again I'm sorry and I don't come on here and bash or trash talk but this is starting to happen a lot more I quiting is a pet peeve of mine. no direspect meant

 

Positive Post Please!

Six positive post. Is that as far as we can get without someone throwing out something negative? I will not explain why we decided to be co champions, I will tell you that it was my call and that I made the call!

Congratulations to the Heat and epically, the Heat White, this weekend was the most fun that I've ever had on a softball field. You ladies showed that not only did you have talent, you were students of and had love for the game. You showed compassion for your teammates and more importantly your competitors. You all are a class act and I am honored to have spent a weekend and a lifetime with some of you. Most of you will head off for college in a couple of weeks, and so begins a new chapter in your lives. I know that everyone wishes you well and so do I. Keep your passion and love of the game and remember, it's people that matter not wins & losses.

THANKS! We're young(our youngest being 13 yo) but improving with every tournament -Hopefully next year will be our standout year.

 

Foothills Heat (White)

We put a team together last week to just get some ladies some work before heading off to college + showcase a couple of girls in front of the few coaches that were there. We got what we wanted, 8 games was plenty of work (making it to the Championship game was a bonus). Yea Barry's team might have won, they were very strong only givin up 3 runs all weekend. Bottom line is all the players and coaches made that decision and have no problem with it. We had a Blast (did you?)
