Travel Ball and hotels

    We enjoyed another typical great Cardinal Showcase in Rock Hill, SC this weekend. I just want to pass on to everyone what happened to us at the Microtel Inn & Suites on Riverview Rd in Rock Hill. My DD and I returned on Saturday afternoon to relax before our next game at Cherry Park. I recevied a noticed in our room that I was being billed for an additional $200 for having a dog in our room. Funny thing is, we did not have a dog or any kind of animal in our room. I spoke to the manager via telephone (he refused to come to the hotel), we spoke for 15 minutes and he insisted over and over again that I had a dog and this hotel has a no Dog policy. They found six (6) gray hairs in our room and insisted it was from a dog (My dog in my room). Parents and players insisted to the front desk that there was no dog, the police were called and the manager still refused to come to the hotel. He never saw the hairs or looked in our room during our entire stay. I will fight this, but I just want to let you all know that if you come to a tournament down here. Stay away from this hotel.
    This hotel had nothing to do with the Cardinals organization as they our a class organization and they put on a superb showcase tournament as always.

    This is awful and I sure hope you get it resolved to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting this for others to see and please let us know the outcome. I believe I would also go to tripadvisor and post a review. Six gray hairs that is so crazy.... I can visualize them walking around with a magnifying glass searching for dog hairs.

    Another reason to use Just for Men!

    Wow, wonder how many they've ripped off? Keep us informed.

    With all my gray hair I might be charged a kennel fee!

    one way to handle this would be for the cardinals organization to contact the hotel manager and guarantee that no one would ever stay at this hotel during their tournaments again.

    as far as grey hair, i guess i couldnt stay there either.....actually more white than grey now....

    would also call the better business people and file a complaint.....i believe they would get a good laugh about that.

    if all else fails, call channel nine.......they'd love this story......

    Slow down......

    ....and chill. This is an easy one to fix. If you held the room by credit card, then call VISA etc. and dispute all charges and let them handle it from there. Trust the fishman on this one

    ^ this along with a copy of the police report which I am sure would indicate no evidence of a pet sent to your CC company....

    Sorry about your misfortune B, but this is too funny. Dog hair.....CLASSIC!
    Fishball is right, call the CC company. I always use AMEX and anytime we ever had a problem they were all over it. Never leave home without it.

    MAN! Things must be getting REALLY bad out there. Good luck with that one!
