Its never too early but It can be too late before you know it....so why wait?

You can email a coach before they can email you.

    1. "hey coach, my name is ABC and I'm interested in your program, love your school and would love to play for you.'

    2. from the coach: "thank you ABC for your interest in our school and softball program. NCAA rules do not allow me to have contact with potential recruit before a certain age."

    3. from the player: 'thanks coach, do you have any info about your softball clinics this year?'

    4. from the coach: ...The coach will send a pamplet or reply with another email giving info of the website.

Now all of this legal, and this kid ABC has just had numerous conversations with the coach.

last, make sure you go to the camps if you're sure you want to play at a school or for the coach......AND, no matter what age you are, as long as a player, no matter how old she is, is on the school campus, then its free to talk to the coach all you want.

    more to come....

    Advice....continued.......

......put your phone down, stop texting your friends, and take time to send info to the coaches in your OWN words. Unless you are a 5.0 honor student, ESPN spelling bee champ, if you misspell words or have less than perfect grammar, you'll be fine in the coaches eyes. They want to hear from you, not mom and dad.

And to parents, nothing should pass through your house recruiting wise without your approval of how it comes in and how your kid replies.

Just be patient and guide them.
