Savannah Burns Commits

    Fred T. Foard (2011) shortstop, Savannah Burns, has verbally committed to Coach Tom Cole and the Lady Bulldogs of Gardner Webb University. Savannah is as smooth as they come with the glove, can hit, run, and will outhustle most anyone. Savannah played travel ball for Smokey Mtn. Sting, Catawba River Rage, and is playing this fall for Foothills HEAT. I can tell you from experience that having Savannah on your team is much better than her being on the other! Congratulations Savannah!

    Congratulations to Savannah and her family. You are very deserving and will do a great job for G-W. Now you can relax a little and concentrate on having a great senior season (and Pre Calculus).

    Congrats Savannah!! It is hard to believe that you and Kendall are finally Seniors. Kendall & Savannah have played softball together in some form or another since they were 7 years old. You have worked so hard to get where you are not only in the classroom but on and off the field. We are so proud and excited for you! Coach Cole is getting a great kid. Enjoy the rest of your year and we can't wait to celebrate with you.

    Congratulations Savannah, you deserve it!! You’ve always been a great player. I remember those days of you running around at SS snagging everything in that Columbia Blue, it was a bunch of fun and we wish you and your family all the best.

    Congratulations Savannah! Yes, Gardner-Webb is surely getting a gem in a ball player and a person. I didn't see many balls get passed her over the years and will give you 100%..i only could find one fault in her and i tried to change her from that, and that is being a DUKE fan! Maybe she'll grow out of that stage in Boiling Springs!!

    Congratulations Savannah! The pressure is off now so enjoy your senior year and good luck at FTF. Enjoyed watching you play this summer with the Rage. Will pass along to Holly your commitment to G-W.

    Oh yes, totally agree!! Would much rather see a Bull Dog Fan than a Duke Fan any day. I will say this, at least her room is not puke blue anymore. Never could get her to convert to a Carolina Fan.
