    Mallard Creek 58
    Mooresville 0

The score was 7-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Mooresville Blue Devils then commenced to get absolutely humiliated by Mallard Creek. The Mavericks rolled off 31 points in the second quarter alone and tacked on another 20 in the second half. The Blue Devils did not cross the 50 until 5:56 remained in the third quarter.

I could come on here and rip this team to shreds for the pathetic offensive effort but I'll hold my tongue for now. The defense held up as long as they could but then they caved in too. Here is a sequence of "events" in the second quarter....Mooresville attempted a fake punt from their own 14 and got stuffed, then they fumbled the ball away at their own 35, got picked at their own 25, then proceeded to go for it on 4th down from their own 49 with 6 seconds left in the half, that failed and Mallard Creek threw a bomb on the last play of the half and scored.

Mallard Creek is at least ranked among the top 5 in the state.

Mooresville found out just how good their 3-0 start to the season stacked up against REAL football teams. Not worth a piss.

Cougars go to 4-2 which is less than expected but the bye week comes at a good time. Winkler is out for probably another month on the O line and some other dinks and dings will heal before the Hickory game in two weeks. Foard was over matched and has the look of a team that might go winless, I hope I'm wrong on that one because I hate to see a team struggle like that.

Good win tonight.. Bye week is much needed for AC..gotta get healty an get some things together. Not sure why Logan Thomas didnt play much tonight? Seems like we'ld wanna use this week to get him involved in the offense. I hope that didnt hurt his recruitment. Defense played well as always an thought the plays were mixed up well. Schedule will get harder as we go. Gotta bring it every week now. I know south is still undefeated an Hibritens balling. We gotta have a great 2 weeks of practice. Good win
