Great time in Houston

The Cardinal girls played some awesome ball this past weekend. Great offense, fantastic pitching, and very good defense winning games against some pretty good Gold teams.
I heard several college coaches commenting on the caliber of kids we have in NC. We had an abundance of coaches in attendance at most of our games.
We had a really fun game against the TX Eclipse Gold who fielded kids committed to Texas, TX A&M, Southern Miss, and Stephen F. Austin. Our kids played right with them. 6 homeruns in the game, 3 on each side. An offensive battle from start to finish. We lost the game 10-7 but had runners on with big bats up at the expiration of time.
We put up an impressive 60 runs for the weekend and gave up a total of 15.
I am very proud of the way they all competed against this level of competition.
Congrats also go out to the Carolina Wildcats who had a great weekend there as well going 5-1.
Our NC kids showed how we can play at top levels too!
Up next, another round of Gold teams at the Sun Classic in Orlando this weekend. Can't wait!!!

TEXAS

CAROLINA WILDCATS FINISHED UP 5-1 FOR THE WEEKEND. WE PLAYED REALLY WELL ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL. BEAT THE TEXAS GLORY GOLD,TEXAS FIRE GOLD,LA UNITED GOLD,ALAMO CITY FEAR AND OKLAHOMA ULTIMATE. LOST TO A VERY GOOD TEXAS FUSION GOLD 2-0. PROBABLY THE BEST TEAM WE HAVE FACED ALL YEAR. THIS IS A GREAT TOURNAMENT WITH LOTS OF COACHES.....CONGRATS TO THE CARDS ALSO!
