We are very proud to announce that Right Handed Pitcher and Outfielder, Trent Thornton announced today that he has committed on UNC Chapel Hill as of last night.

The 2012 Ardrey Kell graduate and CBC Diamond Rat has worked incredibly hard to get this opportunity. We are proud of Trent and his accomplishments and congratulate him as well as his Mom and Dad, Jeff and Patty.

    Way to go kid!

    Grey and Blue Hat

Trent - all of those years of wearing your favorite gray UNC hat with the Carolina blue bill has finally paid off!

It is great to see all of Coach Jeff's boys realizing their dream.

Congrats to you, Jeff, Patty, Lindsey, Jenna and of course Grandpa Jerry!

    Carolina Tar Heels (Seager's Boys)

This was a pretty darn good team.

The Carolina Tar Heels 14u went 6-0 in route to capturing the Perfect Game Co-Championship in Fort Myers, Florida in the Summer of 2008. Weather played a factor during the tournament as the championship game against the Banditos Black was rained out.

Front Row: L-R - Preston Tiller, Michael Massardo, Spencer Allison, Brett Milleman, Corey Seager, Zack Daly

Back Row: L-R - Travis Watkins, Reilly Hovis, Colby Dishmond, Alex Pridemore, Preston Morrison, Trent Thornton

Trent's shirt is all dirty. Were the boys roughing him up prior to taking picture?

    First -

Congrats to Trent and family -

Anybody that has NOT had the pleasure to see Trent play - just think of the "all out kid" that you know. "Caution to the wind"

So the dirty uniform is not "staged" - I can bet the head-first slide or the foul ball that another guy would have gave up on - is the reason for the pigpin look.

In my experience - there can be alotta "separation" at age 14 -
With solid coaching - and alotta hard work

We kidda knew these guys were the "future" for clubs at the college level.

Congrats once again - see ya in OMAHA

    Tip Toes

Not sure about the shirt - it was a hot day, I remember that much. But I did notice him standing on his tip toes! Too funny!

He is. That is funny. Great kid and good family. Wish them the best.

BTW did not realize the names on the Tarheels in the picture. One of the true travel teams that should of stayed together. Put a dollar amount to the scholarships this team is earning. Outstanding.
