I am giving North Johnston a vote in the 2-a, they have some hidden talent on that team that need to be exposed.

I am glad everyone thinks all the girls in the northern end of Davidson County have forgotten how to play softball. It will be fun looking at the faces of all the "experts" after we continue the North Davidson Tradition with a bunch of youngsters this year. Thanks for the blackboard material in November!!

Fred T Foard should be loaded. A couple more girls worth a mention is GWU signee Savannah Burns at short stop (the best fielding shortstop I have ever seen) also with a good bat for power and knowledge of the game. IMO the player to watch this year is Ashley Oliver 3rd base/catcher who works year round on softball. She can hit for power with two homeruns in high school last year and several over the summer in travel ball and will get even stronger over the winter. She also has good knowledge of the game and plays smart. Addie Bollick can anchor the outfield covering alot of space...she is everywhere and can also hit for power. One more I would like to mention that did not make the team last year but the coach would be lucky if she does come out to play is Courtney Hull. This kid has speed like no other and can put the ball in play and knows how to lay down a bunt and with her speed that is all she has to do. She is also an excellent outfielder and will give 100% every day. I'm sure there are others I don't know but I do know these are some of the other travel ball players that will definitely contribute alot.

I was gonna stay out of this, but here goes anyway.
1A gotta go with Swain, played all Fall with Shelby Parker, that kid is a beast.
2A E.Randolph Dallas Heaton is the real deal!
4A AC,ND, or Lake Norman, flip a coin any one of the 3 can win it
3A I'm bias since my DD is the pitcher but I think East Rowan will win it all.

Add Southern Vance in the 3A, they return 7 starters, add 2 impact freshman and are a well coached team who has been close to making it to Walnut Creek the last couple of years. Don't know if they can win it all but I like their chances of making it to Raleigh.

While i'm not sure how EVERYONE feels about ND, and i can say that Lambros will have an army to pick from and some great talent, they did lose what 9 starters, 2 pitchers, 2 all-americans,7 college bound, 5 D1,

etc. etc. It's hard to replace that kind of talent PERIOD!!

I can state that pretty much ALL the Forsyth teams will be down and continue to be. Glenn lost their head coach, their 4 time conference pitcher of the yr. and several other key starters. West, Tabor, Reagan, etc. etc. will continue to be down. The only exception will be East which returns some real talent that has been playing TB together for yrs. now.
Why can i state this unequivocably?? Because they continue to not embrace middle school ball. Little league is down also. There is NO feeder program for the counties HSs. Any body that plays TB and is good, transfers across the line to Ledford, ND, etc. No support no teams. I'm just sayin'

Oh and i forgot Southern Vance, Jordan Garrett is the REAL deal guys...that kid can play, and watch out for Starmount

    3A

Don't forget about Crest (last years 3A runner up). Won't have as much power, but should have the pitching and defense to get back to Raleigh. Alot of speed and good base hitting team.Should be strong for a few years to come.
