Congratulations!!! I am happy that your son is fulfilling his dream. He appeared, from what I knew of him from this site, to be a very hard worker and committed to always finding a way to improve his game and being a total team player. My best to him for a speedy recovery and getting back on the field!

Nick is a young man we all cheer for. He has overcome a lot in his short life and I will not be surprised to hear of his success now and in the future.

29th ranked Wingate University goes to 10-1 on the season. Yesterday's win against Limestone was a nail biter:

"Wingate trailed 8-5 in the bottom of the ninth with two outs and nobody on base. A walk to junior outfielder Casey Allison (Horse Shoe, N.C.), followed by a balk and RBI single from Karr made it 8-6. After another walk put the tying run on base, Cody Shelton lined a single to right field, which got by the right fielder and allowed both runners to score, tying it at eight and sending it to extras."

Way to go Cody! Big time hit!

    Excited to get started

I am Brian Holt and my sons Greg and Jonathan are getting started today. Greg is the closer for the North Carolina Tar Heels and his freshman brother Jonathan is an outfielder at East Carolina. Greg begin his senior season in Los Angeles opening up against Cal Poly today at 1 pm. Jonathan plays Youngstown State in Greenville today. They are both extremely excited to begin the season with high expectations for both programs. Good luck to all players who begin the season today and the one's that have already started.
