Favorite Baseball Songs

ECU might not have had walk up songs yet it was opening weekend, takes time to prepare. here at UNCP each player has 2. it rotates each at bat. The songs are used more for a little pump up to hear part of a song you like. There not meant to take anything away from the game. Usually just the home team has walkups not the away team which is probably why the CWS doesnt have them.

 

Also Braves glad to see you know which team to pick to start your list of songs, none better than the USC GAMECOCKS! (yes that's my opinion since my father played there)

I have been thinking about that supreme authority since you willed that Umpire to call that WF batter out for missing 1st. base on a HR.

 

Hahahaha....I don't know if I ever said this before, but then....and now, I felt it was a terrible call and took away what could have been a terrific series.

But I must admit, it was the fastest I will ever see Randy Pope run when he came out of the dugout. However, to this date, I feel Dusty Snow was cheated out of a lifetime amazing moment (tragedy.)

 

I don't know, Dusty is pretty famous for getting called out on missing a base on a HR. Saw him over the holidays and we talked about that game, what was that 6 or 7 yrs. ago? Yes Pope did run pretty fast that night.

A side note a couple of years ago I was coaching a Junior Legion game at Burlington and Dusty's brother was catching. As the game wore on I was chatting with the plate ump and I said you sure look familar, he said I was the one that call Dusty out for missing 1st base in that playoff game. I said how ironic, his little brother is our catcher. I can't wait to tell him who you are. The conversation ended quickly.

 

I haven't had the chance to go to a college game this year. Are the umpires enforcing the time limits set in the NCAA rules?

Yes but it is not really coming into play. Umpires and coaches are working together to be sure that time is not being wasted.
