My son has had the distinct pleasure of pitching for both the Dirtbags and SCP. I can tell you that both took extreme measures to protect their pitching staffs. Both provided advance notice of their pitching rotations and allowed plenty of rest to keep them fresh, especially when playing in very competitive tournaments. Both are quality organizations with excellent coaching.

The SCP have another solid roster. As a coach for the 2012 Canes, I look forward to playing them. All of our games are exciting.

As for the comments about the Canes above and how we manage our pitching, both comments are inaccurate. We don't throw kids on multiple days during the weekend. We carry enough arms to preventthis from happening. In fact, we have thrown position players to prevent a pitcher from throwing on multiple days when we were short pitchers.

About Josh Sborz (misnamed as Matt Sporz above), he did NOT throw the day before we played the SCP in Fort Myers. We played the 2 weaker teams in our pool the day before and the plan was to hold Sborz for FTB. Our starter against SCP (a South Carolina commit), ran into trouble and we brought Sborz in early. He had no hit (or 1 hit) SCP at UNC a couple of weeks before. Josh threw 6 pitches on Day 1 of the tourney as a bullpen workout. He threw a total of 5 innings in relief in our win against SCP.

I hope this clears up the misinformation, Big Lew.

Hey redbird :waving:..nice to see you posting again, even if it is to reply to correct misinformation. You guys are a class act and fun to be around. Don't be a stranger to TBR. You have a lot to offer all the members on here. Plus I expect to read about all your successes this summer and fall.

Good luck and keep on posting.

    Braves,

Thanks. I hope all is well with you.

I am excited about our team this year. No word from Big Lew, huh?

I'm here, but not much to say, its your word vs that of others! If the Canes practice what you preach, that's great!:trampoline:

Who are "others"? People on the outside? You claimed Sborz threw 9 innings the day before coming in relief against SCP. I would think that would earn some sort of acknowledgement/apology for the misinformation. You did so in effort to cast a negative light on my team.

He's the coach of the team and player mentioned; I would think he would know the situation better than anyone.

I coach the 2012 Canes North. More specifically, I handle the pitchers. So, I would guess my "sources" are a little more accurate and reliable than yours. Heck, you got his name wrong. That doesn't add to your credibility. Everyone else sees you are wrong but you.
