What a pitching duo. Hunt will be a great team. I would predict they win their conference. Very solid team this early. Lamm and Harper looked great. Champion pitched well. This kid has alot of upside. Taylor is one heck off a catcher. Blocked 10 balls in the dirt with guys in scoring position. Where has this kid been, I have heard alot about him never seen him catch. Some school is getting a diamond in the rough. Definite division I caliber with a canon behind the plate. Aycock will get better with more confidence. Don't count them out especially if Farmer comes back. Remeber Hunt was ten run ruled by Aycock early last year and came back and beat Aycock twice. So, it's not the end for Aycock, but they have alot of work to do. Aycock needs to get a pitching machine hooked up to 86 and take a 100 cuts.

It was a good game. Jonathan Smith is always going to put a good team on the field. He knows how to teach hitting. The natural was close on his evaluations even though he isn't Mr. Taylor. Aycock will get better hopefully.

Beating Aycock is a feather in Hunt's cap. Charles Davis always has a tough team. He's probadly a little concerned about his team being held to only 1 hit, but it's early. Rematch is next Wednesday (3-9-11) in Pikeville. Hunt's going to be a handfull for alot of teams and down the road they'll probadly see each other again.

Aycock has two injuries Musselman and Farmer. Farmer didn't play against Hunt. Farmer is a great player if Aycock gets them two back for the final run will be solid in play offs. But, they might have a tough time making the play offs without those two.

It will be intersesting because both teams start conference next week. Aycock will save pitching for conference play. They still have Stafford to pitch for them so the hitting will come around they have some good players. It's early. Watch out for D.H conley in the east.

Wilson paper reported this morning that Travis Musselman suffered a broken thumb during Aycock's 11-0 victory over Princeton yesterday.
