    Hickory Ridge defeats Rocky River 8 to 0. Blake Sides pitched five strong innings and Travis Baucom finished the last two for the combined shoutout. Bulls travel to Butler Monday for a tough non-conference game before starting conference play.

    NW 1 South Rowan 2

    NW falls to the Raiders 2-1 in China Grove. Not a whole lot to report, neither team played well and officiating was terrible for both sides. NW will need to pick it up, East Rowan rolls into town tomorrow night.

    5-5 tie going to the 7th, Central scored 4 in the top to win. Good game by both teams.

    Yes I was actually at the game and those were the only stats Icould retain in my loooooong ago Cabarrus County high school graduated mind!!! You know, it has been cold these past few mornings. A great time to remoooove cow patties from the outfield pasture!

    NW 8 East Rowan 6

    Great game by both squads. ER goes up 2-0 early and then NW bounces back scoring 8 runs in the 5th with a grand slam by Smith and another HR by the next batter Rohan (?). ER does what they normally do by getting within two runs but comes up short. Bain gets the win and Smith gets the save.

    Wonders get first win, it wasn't pretty but a win is a win. Kannapolis leadoff batter, Zach Jones hit a grandslam in the fifth inning. Conference opener @ Robinson on Tuesday.

    NW begins conference play this week as the Trojans travel to Concord on Tuesday and play host to the Spiders on Friday. NW will also host a non conference game vs. Sun Valley on Wednesday.
