I believe you meant Andrew Meadows. Aaron is at Catawba College.

It was a good game until the final 3 innings. Davie's bats were just too much for the Mooresville arms.

Mooresville pitched by committee due to being short on arms and Davie..well..hit by committee!

Davie's field is in wonderful condition, as usual, as well.

Big Victory for Independence. Spoke to Robbie Bray, Independence Pitching coach, he was excited for this year. Big early win for SW4A.

McWhirter threw a gem last night. Was spotting up his fastball and banging the outside corner (to righties) with his breaking ball. Ryan Langevin and Alex Bostic both threw great for Weddington, but did not get any run support. Weddington threatened a couple of times, in the 3rd and in the 6th.

In the 3rd with runners at 1st and 2nd, Langevin hit a pea rod at the 3rd baseman who made a tremendous play to get the force at 3rd. In the 6th with men on 1st and 3rd and 1 out Weddington could not manufacture a run despite having a good opportunity in front of them.

Weddington plays Piedmont tonight at 5 (game time moved up).
