    The biggest factor in the game was JMR pitcher Brody Koerner, who went the distance allowing 2 hits, 5 BB and struck out 13. The Wonders never had a runner advance past 2B on Koerner and he accounted for 17 of 21 outs, the kid can flat out pitch.:xyxthumbs:[/quote]

    You're right about that Weyco. And to think that he's just starting to get his "baseball legs" under him after a full season of basketball for JMR.

    Talking with my son after the game he talked about Koerner, saying that the late movement on ALL his pitches is unbelievable.

    Cox Mill at Mount Pleasant's 4:30 SPC game for today has been postponed until tomorrow at 4:00 due to wet conditions.

    Hickory Ridge hosting Central Cabarrus still on for today at 4:30. Bulls need to bounce back after Tuesday loss.

    Hickory Ridge holds on to win 12 to 11 over Central Cabarrus on a good football weather evening. Winning run turned out to be a pinch hit solo home run by Joe Bridgeman in bottom of sixth giving the Bulls a 12 to 8 lead that held up. Blake Sides went 5 innings and Travis Baucom 1 for the Bulls.

    Dylan May went 5-2/3 innings and Eldon Peters 1-1/3 and combined for 1 earned run in an 8-3 loss? Kannapolis commits double digit total number of errors, after the 7th error I stopped counting.

    Rob Bain gets complete game W. NW hit well top to bottom tonite.

    Big week in SPC this coming week with 2 games between NW Cabarrus vs. Mt.Pleasant (Tuesday and Saturday).

    Cox Mill 6 Mount Pleasant 5

    At Mount Pleasant, Cox Mill jumped out to a 5-0 lead and then held on for an exciting 6 - 5 win. The early key hit was a Travis Watkins 3 run home run off Grayson Atwood in the 3rd inning. Watkins, DJ Smith and Robert Erdie all pitched well for the Chargers who improved to 1 & 1 in the SPC and 2 & 2 overall.
