Would anyone who knows, post your take on this league and the teams in it? IE. league strong top to bottom? weak? Which teams should prevail; which are rebuilding?

    Thanks,

West Mecklenburg (who has beaten Marvin Ridge and South Meck already this year) Olympic, and East Gaston will compete with Catholic at the top of the conference. The other schools will play hard but are a little overmatched.

By the way How Bout the West Charlotte Lions!!! State Champs AGAIN in basketball. I know this is a baseball forum, but can't help myself.

Big game Tuesday night between West Meck and Catholic for the lead in the MEGA 7/Queen City 3A-4A. When Dalton Shaw is on the mound for West Meck, they can compete with most anybody!! Alot of underrated players on both of these teams.

West Meck, Catholic, Olympic, and East Gaston are the top 4 teams. Unfortunately, the league is weakened significantly with Garinger, Harding, and Waddell included. West Meck's Matt Davenport, Nick McGee, Langdon Rawls, and Dalton Shaw are all solid players. Catholic's Alex Jensen (Army signee), Colin Manning (Holy Cross signee), Daniel Stewart, Ryan Werkmeister, Scott Singletary, and Eddie Hull are just a few of their good players. Keep in mind, Catholic was last year's Greater Charlotte Hot Stove Team of the Year and 8 of their starters are back. There is no doubt that the SW 4A "rules the roost" in Mecklenburg county -- but there are plenty of other great players scattered around at some of the other schools also. By the way, if you haven't been out to Jack Hughes Park in Pineville yet -- it is something to see!!

Would be an excellent site to have conference tournament finals from the south end of town.

Thanks for the recap ehull. We used to get a lot of information about Olympic at one time, but those posters have moved on. It would be nice if you can help keep us informed. I'm sure the players in the conference would appreciate the acknowledgments of their performance
