    I have not watched Heritage High play this year. I know it's their first year but does anyone have an update on their level of talent. I wish them the best and hope they have a productive year.

    Sanderson loses today to Cardinal Gibbons 6-2. Soph. Tyler Hardee got his first varsity start for the Spartans and threw 5 shutout innings leaving with a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately the bullpen couldn't hold the lead. It was easy to see why Max Schrock from CG has signed with South Carolina. He launched one of the the longest home runs I have seen at Sanderson's field.....easily 410 ft plus. That kid is a player.

    Yeah right...to try and claim that ball was mishit in any way is nuts......anyway..... I will always give kudos to any young man who goes deep at Sanderson's field. You have truly earned it with the dimensions there....335 down the lines, 385 in the gaps, and 400 to dead center.....no such thing as a cheap home run in that ballpark....unlike many others in Wake County.

    I remember Schrock from last year, the kid can play... and Cardinal Gibbons is not bad at all. On Wednesday they beat Person 7-0. Person had defeated Middle Creek, South Granville, and Northern Durham prior to that game. Jim Liebler does a great job at Gibbons... and he is one heckuva friend!

    Braves....would have easier to tell if he had used a smiley :bounce:....sorry to have made the wrong assumption.

    coach.....CG is a very solid program....my son played on a travel team with a couple of the boys over there plus we have played them regularly over the last couple of seasons. Coach Liebler wasn't there yesterday due to illness....wish him a speedy recovery....It's kinda funny...the next longest home run I have personally witnessed at Sanderson was by Max Gagnon of Sanderson against CG...2 run bomb about 400ft in the bottom of the 7th down a run two years ago. It was a very good game yesterday, I just hate we couldn't hold on in the end. Looking forward to our rematch with them in a couple weeks.
