I know for this county (Wake), all MS are still at 40'. We made sure to ask.

Oh yeah, we couldn't buy a strike. NOT using that as an excuse.

Lesson learned... Don't pull out a measuring tape and ask the ump to look at it. Just politely ask if they can verify the pitching distance is correct and offer the use of a measuring tape if they don't have one. :)

My understanding is NCHSAA does not govern MS baseball or softball.
Each county, conference or league sets their own rules, they usually use modified NFHS rules. You would need to ask your coach or AD what rule set and modifications are being used for your school.

tape measure. sometimes a measuring wheel. It's a matter of preference.

I usually step it off heel-toe, heel-toe. Anything close to 45 steps is good.

i had an old girlfriend (by old, I don't mean she was my girlfriend a long time ago. I mean she was old. Like 94). anyway, she measure from the front of the rubber back, but it wasn't no pitching distance. :57:

Yea Loathsome is right. Is it really necessary for this type of post to pollute a thread from someone who is actually interested in gaining information for the betterment of their kids.
