    It's official, we have to put an asterisk on this thread. There were several definite home runs yesterday, and several probables that can't be counted because there was no temporary fence at the tournament. On the other hand, I guess you can count the gap shot inside the parkers?

    everyone else does, the totals turned into the state dont distinguish over the fence or in the park........but, some in the in the parkers are just a double or triple with errors...just sayin.....

    That's what I love about HS and Travel "stats"................ya never know
    Had one family that played for me when I was coaching 18u ask about DD stats and if I would forward them to a college for them. After I gave them the
    stats from our book She thought for a min. and said She keep Personal stats for her DD and would just use those. I could be wrong but I'm thinking that there was quite a difference between them. :whistling:

    I know that story, but it was sad to see kids hitting balls 210, 220, 230, and in one case 240 or better, and possibly ending up with only a triple. The longest one counted because a speedy runner hit it, and it was a long liner. The higher fly balls can be retrieved and relayed back before you can round the bases, or can be caught for that matter. The line drive gap shot rolls to the 300 fence, however. It could be significant as far as statistics go, but in the grander scheme, I guess it's not a big deal?
