    Mooresvilles Holcomb

Having coached against Holcomb in the Mallard Creek - Mooresville game I can say that Holcomb is a dangerous bat to face in the lineup. In the game at Mallard Creek he went 2-4 with a rocket double down the line and a single. Having coached third and speaking with Josh the entire game, I will also say that he is just as respectful and classy as he is talented.

I really enjoy reading the threads on TBR and use it to see how the competition is doing. I don't like that it sometimes turns into a "my kid is better than your kid" competition. There are some amazing players scattered all over this state and all that they deserve is a chance to be noticed and acknowledged. Bashing or talking down about players or programs only weakens this great site. I will go to bat and stand up for every one of my players in my program, but I will also be the first person to acknowledge talent and class on another team.

Sorry for going a little off topic here but lets keep this site about the game and the players and not about negative perspectives people may have towards players they don't even know.

    Thank you
    Coach McGeorge

Stretchy, don't be throwin out hot dog selling numbers all "willy nilly" on TBR. Guessing about homeruns is one thing, but throwing out bogus concession stand numbers is an outrage. Everybody knows that Rocky Mount sells more hot dogs than Northern Nash. I ate 2 myself the other night. I'm not even sure Northern Nash sells hot dogs. Everytime I'm there the only thing they have is Chickfila sandwiches. And don't get me started on that short fence over there either. Routine pop-ups just sail out into the neighborhood, never to be seen again.

OMG......you are so right. I cannot believe that Luis hacked into my account in order to post something so outrageous on TBR with my name on it......everyone knows that I would never eat a RED hot dog!

PS: I did start the Chickfila sandwich thing when my son played for NNash. Shame my kid never hit a home run!!

    Back To the Thread:

Trey Denning, a senior from North Johnston, has hit 9 homeruns so far this season.

    Hot Dog Race

I have eaten 15 hotdogs the last 2 games and had a homerun in small fry! That is why I weight what I do and never amounted to much in baseball! I like the entertaining thread. Been a while since I have visited the site! Keep up the good work.

Maxprep now has Josh Holcomb listed w/ 7 homeruns on the season, which is second in the state behind Trey Denning. Mooresville's stats appear to be up-to-date now.
(Of course, not every school puts their stats on Maxprep, and some schools wait to the end of the year to announce their stats.)
