    The only thing I could imagine would be a team discipline thing if a bunch of them got in trouble together, or if there is an issue with the jv coach.

    Kannapolis JV's to keep on playing!!

    There is no story here---this a case of an apparently misunderstood statement, or at worst, a prank rumor.....and one that got passed along without anyone bothering to verify with the coaching staff, or athletic dept. at A.L. Brown -----which I have this morning; And I was told......

    .....THERE IS NO TRUTH TO THIS AT ALL!!!! (maybe a pre-April Fool ?!?)

    Rumor has it if you close your eyes, balance on one foot, and hold your arms directly out by you side, it is physically impossible to touch your nose. We all know that is only a rumor just as the JV forfeit of their season. Not that something couldn’t slip through the cracks but I think the staff at AL Brown does a great job in all athletics regarding eligibility. To Weyco My first advice would be if you choose to be some type of bull pulpit sports writer you learn the first rule of publishing and that is to verify your source. Also, if you sponsor a site for a high school baseball team it should be done with some taste, respect for the game and with good intent. As we witnessed last year it seems like you have an agenda and most folks see that therefore the web site loses all creditability. Second, when miss representing an event or making an inaccurate allegation always have an exit plan. Curious as to what yours will be after posting all those links for the school admin folks to follow. Unbelievable.

    I hate rumors....especially on TBR because it makes us look bad, but I'll chock this up as a bad April Fool's joke and move on. On behalf of TBR, I'm sorry if it has caused undue grief.

    Is this a good time to state this? In my opinion, Empsy Thompson is one of the outstanding HS baseball coach's in this state. He doesn't need me to say that, but I wanted to. He's a classy guy and one I loved my son being around.

    The shorthanded Charger's defense lets them down in a 9 run first inning against the Spiders tonight. It didn't get much better after that. Cox Mill is back in action tomorrow at home against the Charlotte Stampede at 3 PM .

    I couldn't agree more. No matter what, you are never going to make everyone happy, but if you know anything about baseball at all, you would know that he is one of the good guys in this game.

    Because I have respect for what TBR stands for, I will take the high road and PM my response to coredr. Feel free to check my posts here and you will not find one like the one above. TBR has PM and the website has my email address, which is how an adult would respond.
