I don't believe there are any online versions.

The mercy rule in HS for all varsity games is 10 runs after 5 innings, or after 4 1/2 innings if the home team is ahead.

Not sure how much clarification is needed, but if you have a question I or someone else would be glad to help.

Some sporting goods stores and book stores carry NFHS rulebooks.

    Hope this helps

This was a middle school game in which, going to the top of 5, the home team was ahead 12-0. Neither team said anything, not noticing what the score was on the home side, when the visiting coach had his girls bat. Home team pitcher throws to 5 batters, visitors scored 1 run and ended with 3 outs. As soon as the last out occurs, the visiting coach tells his girls to line up.

I am not sure if it was a matter of neither coach noticing the score, if the other coach just wanted the extra at bat, just an honest mistake or if it was the right thing.

    ?

If the home team won 12-1 what is the point? It doesn't appear to of had an impact on the outcome of the game.

    It was the right thing.

They played 4 complete innings and finished 1/2 of the 5th inning. Home team lead by 11 runs after 4 1/2 innings, game over.

NFHS allows states to adopt the 10 run rule and NC has adopted it.

Conferences can impose time limits and change the run rule for jv, but not varsity.

If conferences are using a different run rule for varsity they either have state approval or the state don't know or the state is indifferent.

The rule we play by is 15 after 3 innings or 10 after 5 innings.

Our game last night ended 15-0 in 3 innings.

Coaches have asked the run rule at homeplate meeting and most of the time one will say 15 after 3 , 10 after 5, conference rule. So it appears that a lot of conferences adopt the 15 after 3.
