I'm a new poster to this board, but have been reading it for years. I do have the utmost respect for most who contribute here. So, maybe you can entertain one more "side of the story". What about the player and family who have done everything "right"? The player's got skills (verified by other coaches), but is consistently being overlooked by the Coach? Player has approached the coach and the coach's response has been positive in meetings, but still has yet to follow through on any of his promises. Coach has even verified that the kid has skills. Meanwhile, the player, who is trying to get the attention of college coaches is withering into a fiery mess, but he's too respectful to confront the coach? The player is just frozen with the experience. Who holds the coach responsible then?

    Very interesting post.......

........unfortunately there will always be cases of certain biases or dislikes of a coach to a player or his parents and though it might never be able to be proved the coach does overlook that player on purpose. Truth be known it happens more often than not. There is not much you can really do to make things right in this situation so you better either transfer out and prove your talent somewhere else and maybe even come back to beat that coaches team OR be sure to play legion or showcase ball to prove your worth cause that is where you are most likely to get the attention of college coaches anyway. High School baseball is no longer the only stepping stone to college baseball. Good luck to all the players that may not be getting a fair shake.

    Moooose!

    Hey buddy,
It was good to see you at Mount Pleasant! The only problem was we had a game to play and didn't get enough talking done!
Maybe we can meet up again soon and solve all the worlds problems.

Side note: I have coached against Moose and have NEVER seen himm what I call mad, maybe frustrated, but not mad! He's a good man!
