Charlotte Country Day 17....Charlotte Latin 2

    CCDS…440 002 7... 17..15..2
    Latin… 000 000 0 ....2...0...1

    Pitching:

    CCDS Lee Harrison 6IP, 0H, 2R, 0ER, 4K, 5BB WP (4-1)
    CCDS Keisuke Ishekawa 1IP, 0H, 0R, 0ER, 2K

    Hitting:

    CCDS Colin Walls 2-4, (2) doubles, 4RBI
CCDS Patrick Langdon 1-3, triple, 4RBI
CCDS Wade Leach 1-1, HR, 3RBI
    CCDS Patrick Brady 2-4, double
    CCDS Lee Harrison 2-5, 3RBI
    CCDS William Frazier 2-4, RBI
    CCDS Tyler Holloway 2-3, RBI

The Bucs completed the sweep of Charlotte Latin with the lethal combination of strong pitching and abundant hitting. Lee Harrison and Keisuke Ishekawa combined to no-hit the Hawks, with Harrison going six strong innings and inducing 14 infield groundouts. The top five hitters in the order for Country Day all had multiple hits and the offensive display started early, keyed by a first inning, bases clearing triple by junior third baseman, Patrick Langdon. Junior Colin Walls collected 4RBIs with two doubles and Wade Leach, a hot-hitting reserve infielder, made the most of his insertion as a pinch hitter by lacing a 3-run home run over the right field wall. The Bucs go to 14-1 for the season and 6-0 in conference play.

    Don't doubt me.....

Keep your eyes on this team in the Jack Sink....dangerous and playing with a mission. Langdon continues to deliver. Pitching is good. Will be fun to watch them battle Providence!

    4A West

This years 4A west bracket quite possibly could be the strongest I have seen in many years. The CPC, Piedmont Triad, Southwestern all have 5+ teams that could legitimately make deep runs in the playoffs....
