Jake Barbee had one of the doubles hit off Koerner that drove in the first Ridge run. He has been on the varsity all season almost always the DH. He hurt his arm early on and thus has not caught that much.

Congrats to Cox Mill and Coach Vidal has caught the attention of many...but the the conference tourney has a MAJOR factor in the final seedings and a 5 seed is not a safe place to be. You're not locked in yet but a loss by the bottom 3 in the tourney will secure a playoff berth ...

 

Weyco, How does that go with the conference tournament? If a seed outside the top 5 wins the tournament it would become the 2nd seed from the S.P.C. and drop the other teams a seed lower causing the original 5th seed to be out of the playoffs?????

 

That is correct.

 

This should be a very exciting tournament. One team has to put three good games together.

 

5th place tiebreaker?

Cox Mill and Central are tied for 5th and split head to head matchups...what tiebreaker is used in determining tournament seeding? I remember seeing it but I can't find it, also...say Cox Mill loses and CC wins does that factor in? Just throwing some scenerios out there...

Hmm, hope Im not getting HS and Legion mixed up here, but here goes nothing...

If CoxMill and CC split during the regular season, the first tiebreaker is if they played each other in a nonconf game,,,, if they didnt play each other in a nonconf game, then you go to top-seeded team and how did CoxMill/Central do against NW? Cox Mill split with NW, CC got swept,,, therefore CoxMill is seeded over CC in conf tourney.

As for playing in the tourney, it doesn't matter which one of them goes the furthest,,, because the only way a 6,7,8 seeded team can now make the playoffs, is the 678 team has to win the tournament. If a 678 seeded team wins the touney, that team becomes SPC 2 seed in state playoffs with everone dropping down a notch, meaning the 5 seed is out.

That will be 1 hotdog.
