Is this ok at the high school level?

when did they start making the pitchers pitch that out??

HS baseball can still do the walk with no pitches.

funniest thing ever -- a player was getting the intentional walk and switch batters boxes between each pitch.

 

The rules survey this year asked if coaches and umpires were in favor of the verbal IBB.

So maybe that will change, but I like it the way it is.

 

I like it the way it is, also.

There is always the chance of a mistake. To make it verbal also takes away the opportunity for baserunners to steal on the pitch.
